It features a variety of marine and entertainment attractions, as well as 17 hectares of waterscape amusement at Aquaventure Waterpark, all within a 46-hectare site.
Its thus not surprising that it is home to one of the largest open-air marine habitats in the world, with over 65,000 marine animals in lagoons and displays including The Lost Chambers Aquarium, a maze of underwater corridors and passageways providing a journey through ancient Atlantis.

It is here that the ‘underwater’ yoga class takes place. To fully understand the environs in which the class will take place, we need to delve a bit into The Lost Chambers. This is a site that has delighted guests with unusual salt and fresh water attractions and an amazing aquatic eco-system never before seen in the Middle East. The open-air marine habitat is the focal point of Atlantis. Guests explore an extensive collection of exhibits, pools, lagoons and underwater ruins showcasing an impressive variety of marine life including sharks, eels, rays, piranhas, hundreds of exotic and tropical fish.
Yoga amidst marine bliss
Did you know that looking at fishes may actually be good for your health? A study released by researchers from the National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth University and the University of Exeter has shown that contemplating fish in an aquarium has an effect in reducing levels of stress and anxiety and provides health benefits including lowering blood pressure.
The class takes place against the mesmerizing tranquillity of the Ambassador Lagoon, in The Lost Chambers Aquarium. Surrounded by a majestic 65,000 sea creatures, guests have the opportunity to rejuvenate and restore in this unique aquatic surrounding. The guests practice Hatha Yoga, a discipline that helps bring peace to the mind and body. Each session aims to improve strength, flexibility and balance, involving beautiful, calming sequence of postures, breathing exercises and relaxation of body tension.
The class is available every Tuesday and Friday from eight o’clock to nine o’clock and is open to those above sixteen years of age. A class hosts a maximum of twenty guests. A first of its kind in the region, underwater yoga is the perfect way to kick-start a weekend!
