Louis Vuitton “Gifting” collection opens doors to little pleasures continuing the experience of exceptional gifts.
Sometimes it is the little things in life that give utmost happiness! Or should we say little gifts? The Louis Vuitton “Gifting” collection has always been very popular, and this year one finds more marvels added to it. In 2017, the House brings little pleasures with a “Gifting” collection already comprised of around thirty charming little marvels that embody the excellence of Louis Vuitton ateliers.
The art of gifting
When Louis Vuitton opened his House in 1854, he described himself as an « emballeur de modes», a craftsman excelling in the art of packing – clothing of course, but also treasures, memories, and experiences. it all may have started with trunks, but the story of the maison has since then been interesting and delightful.
As time went by, beyond the trunks that gave the brand its luxurious reputation, the House created a symphony of desirable objects, for example the Pateki, a delightful brainteaser crafted from a piece of wood, created by Gaston Louis Vuitton, the founder’s grandson. In the 1920s, a series of catalogues entitled « Le Cadeau ou la Bonne Manière » (The Gift or the Art of Good Manners ») invited clients to come and select « the gift, large or small, that you would like to offer or receive » in any of the Louis Vuitton stores. This interesting history set the tone for the things to come.
Gifts that matter
Whimsical, delicate, irresistible and precious. Yes, these are the qualities of gifts that matter. The Louis Vuitton “Gifting” collection encompasses these attributes in a seamless manner. You can celebrate the joy of writing with a variety of monogrammed writing implements and notebooks. You may delight in the little accessories that travel with you on your various journeys. Or maybe, use some of the adorable boxes and mirrors? Each object in the collection makes every day special.
The art of gifting is about finding the right object for the right emotion. And, the Louis Vuitton “Gifting” collection does just that!
