Come November, head to Bahrain as the Middle East’s premier jewellery and watch show Jewellery Arabia 2016 celebrates its 25th edition
Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Middle East’s premier jewellery and watch exhibition, Jewellery Arabia, is set to celebrate its 25th edition from the 22nd to the 26th of November this year at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
What to expect?
The spectacular jewellery event will bring together 600 exhibitors from 30 countries for a five-day revelry of glitz and glamour. The trendsetting exhibition space will feature a vast range of finished jewellery, luxury timepieces, precious stones, antiques, objets d’art and jewellery technology from across the globe, and is expected to attract over 50,000 visitors.
Who will be participating?
World famous watch and jewellery houses will be making a comeback at Jewellery Arabia 2016. International exhibitors from renowned brands will use the event as a platform to introduce exclusive collections and limited edition pieces to the Middle East collectors’ market. Complementing these iconic brands will be returning delegations of the finest retailers and designers as well as manufacturers from Hong Kong, India, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States of America. A host of designers, retailers and manufacturers from all over the world, including a selection of Bahrain’s leading jewelers, will be joining these international brands and national groups.
Who will help?
The world’s foremost authority on gemology, the GIA (Gemmological Institute of America), will be offering complimentary seminars to help buyers make informed choices. Experienced GIA instructors will provide visitors with information on the different facets of gems and jewellery.
What’s so interesting?
For the 12th successive year, the ‘Middle East Jewellery of the Year Awards’ will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on the 21st of November 2016. Under the patronage of His Excellency Zayed R. Alzayani, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the event will be hosted by MPP ME, publishers of Arabian Watches and Jewellery (AWJ). The awards will be declared based on an online public voting system and the analysis of an elite committee comprising watch, jewellery and pen experts.
