IWC Schaffhausen threw open the doors of its new boutique in Munich at a gala event.
The recently renovated building at Residenzstraße 13, close to Munich’s opera house, was buzzing with shutterbugs on 28 June, 2017. It was the grand opening night of IWC Schaffhausen’s second German boutique. The guest list included celebrities such as Elyas M’Barek, Moritz Bleibtreu and Thomas Heinze. To mark the occasion, the brand also unveiled the special edition of Portugieser Chronograph Rattrapante Edition “Boutique Munich.”
The boutique it features a modern concept. It is spread across two floors, spanning a total area of around 226 square metres. The boutique features a bar, a corner fireplace and a seating area. Its colour scheme has soft beige hues and dark wooden accents. Apart from the celebrities, the event was attended by Christoph Grainger-Herr, CEO, IWC Schaffhausen, and Henrik Ekdahl, IWC Managing Director, Richemont Northern Europe.
The special edition
one of the highlights of the Portugieser Chronograph Rattrapante Edition “Boutique Munich” is the engraving of Munich’s Frauenkirche church on the back of its case. It features the mechanical double chronograph movement, with stopwatch functions. The stainless steel case holds a blue dial with red hands and a blue alligator leather strap. The chronograph is limited to 250 pieces.
The boutique as well as the new chronograph are steeped in the nearly 150 years of the brand’s history.
