Flyback Chronograph Manufacture
Function meets form
This FC-760 complication is inspired by 1930’s Flyback Chronographs. With a Flyback, a user is able to operate the chronograph without resetting it to zero every time. This is against regular chronograph function that is used as a stop watch. The Flyback enables the chronograph’s hand to be stopped, reset to zero, and restarted with one push of a button. This function is essential for timing an elapsed interval of events during races.
The Flyback features a star-shaped wheel column as opposed to a standard-type one. This component is responsible for the exceptionally smooth operation of the mechanism. For the new meticulously developed FC-760, Frederique Constant decided to adopt a modular construction. It was created from only 96 parts without loss of quality.
The clutch is an essential part of the chronograph. The FC-760’s designers have used a new type of swiveling component with two toothed pinions. The rotations of the chronograph hand are “recorded” by the 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock.
The chronograph has the quintessential Frederique Constant design. The smooth dial options are silver and dark grey. Both these versions are available in stainless steel or in rose gold-plated stainless steel.
The Flyback Chronograph Manufacture is a piece de resistance from Frederique Constant. One that delivers the essentials of a chronograph with irresistible design and pricing.
