A Swiss brand known to represent the art of fusion in watches, Hublot announced two new developments. At an event at the brand’s Beverly Hills boutique in Los Angeles, Brand Ambassador Kobe Bryant unveiled the Classic Fusion Kobe Bryant HeroVillain. This launch coincided with the ribbon cutting ceremony of the boutique as it had undergone a design change.

The novelty is Hublot’s third timepiece with the basketball legend, Kobe. The other two timepieces are Big Bang UNICO Chronograph Retrograde Kobe “Vino” Bryant and the King Power Black Mamba Chronograph. Kobe along with Jean-François Sberro, Managing Director Hublot of America and Greg Simonian, Owner of Hublot Beverly Hills boutique, threw the doors open to select guests, media and friends of the brand. Kobe was then presented with his newest limited edition watch.
Kobe said, “I’m honored to celebrate the launch of my third Hublot timepiece as I continue my pursuit of excellence and reflect on my career. The Classic Fusion Kobe Bryant HeroVillain symbolizes my life as a HeroVillain during my 20-year basketball career, as I strive to channel my fears and doubts into strength and determination. When I joined the Hublot family in 2013, it was a natural fit and I’m thrilled to share this special occasion here in Los Angeles today.”
The watch, which is limited to 24 pieces, has a strong masculine design. The dial features a black snake applique, a nod to Kobe Bryant’s ‘Black Mamba’ basketball nickname. The sapphire case-back carries a printed ‘KOB16’ logo, and each piece is engraved with its special edition number, 1/24 – 24/24. It features a self-winding moon phase movement. It has a black python strap.
The Beverly Hills boutique is spread across 1376 sq ft. The redesigned store now flaunts gray tonal textures and materials, including ebony wood paneled walls and doors; graphite leather wall accents and slate floors; stainless steel, glass, and hammered metal fixtures and watch cases. The black stone façade features the H of the Hublot logo. Considering the discerning clientele the brand has, the boutique offers an enclosed VIP lounge.
Another significant aspect regarding the watch launch coinciding with the store re-opening is that the limited edition watch will be available only at the Hublot’s Beverly Hills Boutique. Now that’s what we call being exclusive!
