TAG Heuer Revs Up for Formula 1 in Singapore to celebrate the brand’s DNA in motor racing and the launch of the Heuer Globetrotter exhibition
The Formula 1 season has come! Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer celebrated Formula 1 in Singapore in true racing style!
At a special event, not only did the local watch and racing enthusiasts get to see some very exclusive motorsport-inspired historical timepieces, they also had a chance to catch a glimpse of American actor and racer Patrick Dempsey and Red Bull Racing F1 driver Max Verstappen.
A special media event
In a closed-door, media-only event at the Wisma Atria boutique, TAG Heuer, together with global brand ambassador Patrick Dempsey, kicked off the start of the new Heuer Globetrotter initiative. This new exhibition concept will see 10 different boutiques worldwide exhibit 40 vintage watches each. That means 400 timepieces on display at the same time globally. The talented actor & director unveiled 26 vintage Heuer watches from the TAG Heuer 360 Museum in Switzerland as well as 19 pieces loaned from local collectors. The centrepiece of the Singapore exhibition is the 18 ct gold Heuer Carrera from 1970, which Jack Heuer presented to each Ferrari driver, with their name engraved on the case-back.
The exhibition will run from September 14th to 30th and is an important conduit for the brand to showcase its watchmaking and timing roots as well as reinforcing its connection with local enthusiasts. The exhibition will give TAG Heuer enthusiasts and supporters an opportunity to appreciate some of the rarer pieces that have never left the museum in Switzerland!
