Audemars Piguet just redefined haute joaillerie timepieces with the launch of the third and final installment of its trilogy – Diamond Outrage.
Diamonds may be forever, but they are certainly not for everyone. Audemars Piguet proves that with Diamond Outrage. A cuff watch with a rare design, Diamond Outrage follows the steps of its predecessors – Diamond Punk and Diamond Fury. It has certainly taken the concept of haute joaillerie to a whole new level.
Haute Joaillerie DIAMOND OUTRAGE
All that glitters…
Diamond Outrage sports a futuristic design. The diamond embellishments add to the explosive style of this cuff watch. It is presented in two unique 18-carat white gold pieces. One is fully set with diamonds while the other is made up of blue sapphires. They show the unique craftsmanship of Audemars Piguet. The maison’s mastery of watchmaking and haute joaillerie is matchless.
Channeling the icy fascination of the Vallée de Joux in winter, Diamond Outrage is a sculptural and sensual force. The full diamond version of the watch flaunts three baguette-set spikes. This makes it resemble a burst of stalactites on the wrist. The spikes vary in size, ranging from 29.30mm to 40mm. They are created using the snow setting technique, which renders the white-gold frame invisible. The baguette-cut diamond points are placed using the invisible setting technique. Linear-cut diamonds appear to float, held perfectly in place.
The haute joaillerie cuff watch 18-carat white gold case and bracelet, which is entirely set in diamonds. It sports a mirror polished dial with blackened gold hands. The watch has 9,923 brilliant-cut diamonds and 354 baguette-cut diamonds. Diamond Outrage blue sapphire version has 11,043 brilliant-cut sapphires on the dial and the bracelet.
Diamond Outrage is ‘outrageously’ stunning. A cuff watch like no other, it reflects the earth’s power to design an ‘outrageous’ architecture of its own.
