Oscar and Tony Award nominee, soon to be director and all around cool guy, Bradley Cooper was introduced at this year’s Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie as a new brand ambassador for IWC Schaffhausen.
Cooper has long been known as a fan of the Swiss Luxury watch brand, and is often seen sporting the IWC Big Pilot both on and off screen. In addition to his success on the silver screen, with iconic films like Silver Linings Playbook, The Hangover and American Sniper, Bradley Cooper is known for his philanthropic work and his Bradley Charles Cooper Foundation. The Foundation was launched in 2014 with a pilot program, the Charles J. Cooper Patient Support Fund which aims to provide coordination of care, financial assistance and overall support to patients suffering from cancer and their families across the United States.
A Perfect Fit
Apart from his genuine appreciation for the brand, Bradley Cooper appears to be the ideal choice as brand ambassador for IWC. While introducing Cooper at SIHH 2018, Christoph Grainger-Herr, CEO of the company stated that his ‘pursuit of quality and creativity’ makes him an ideal fit for the values embodied by IWC. The watchmaker’s name has long been associated with an unwavering focus on technology and development and the creation of horological masterpieces as well a passion for innovation and unmatched technical skill which combines design superiority with pinpoint precision.
IWC’s commitment to social and ecological causes as well as their support of global foundations working towards helping children and young people, and promoting environmental protection is visible in their drive towards sustainable production. As this powerhouse of Haute Horlogerie marks its 150th year, with its new brand ambassador, it will be exciting to see just what the year ahead has in store for IWC aficionados and watch enthusiasts around the world.
