From producing the first motorcycle in the post-World War II era to manufacturing superbikes for modern bike lovers, Ducati has seen it all. Established in 1926 by Antonio Cavalier Ducati and his three sons, the Ducati brand is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year. The celebrations culminate in the adrenalin-pumping 9th edition of the World Ducati Week.
WDW (World Ducati Week) 2016
Mark the days from July 1st to 3rd, 2016, as the most happening days of the month! The Misano World Circuit ‘Marco Simoncelli’ will host the World Ducati Week. The long weekend is dedicated to bikers and Ducati lovers. They will get to meet racing champions, test the new bikes, participate in the first Ducati International Bikers Games and watch shows by top stuntmen.
To keep the bikers’ and fans’ enthusiasm going, there will be MotoGP and Superbike champions, on-track contests open to all, test rides and riding courses as well as many other competitions, seminars and stunt shows throughout the three-day event.
The list of guest of honour includes Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone – the 2016 Ducati MotoGP Team riders, World Champion Casey Stoner, Superbike riders Chaz Davies and Davide Giugliano as well as Troy Bayliss and Carlos Checa.
Those present at the event will get to experience new bikes like the Multistrada Enduro and XDiavel, the new Ducati cruiser. There’s more action for car lovers, too. Audi and Lamborghini will offer test drives and entertainment. WDW will also host the first bike meet dedicated to the world of the Scrambler.
Under the section Ducati University, the event will host a series of seminars and in-depth analysis around central themes such as technology and design, meetings with the Ducati Corse Teams.
Now that’s certainly an event that will have bikers and Ducati lovers around the world asking for more!
