Swiss luxury watchmaker Baume & Mercier will be launching two new timepieces at SIHH 2017 – an unstoppable accessory for travelling the world in complete distinction, and a chic masterpiece inspired by enchanting femininity and astrology.
Baume & Mercier – Two new launches
The Clifton GMT Power Reserve: A mechanical watch for globetrotters
Introducing at the 2017 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), Baume & Mercier expands its Clifton collection with a complication as useful as it is cosmopolitan: dual time indicator. The deep blue dial features the classic elegance of a creation fashioned out of 187 years of watchmaking and stylistic expertise.
Simple and elegant, the new Clifton GMT Power Reserve catches the eye with its distinguished look, signature of uncompromising quality and modern design. Housed in a 43mm steel case with polished and satin finishes, highlighting the collection’s hallmark double bevel, its well-balanced dimensions make it easy to wear on all occasions. The deep blue dial with sun-satin finishes clearly displays the day’s requisite information: the date, the power reserve, and the GMT. Envisioned for frequent travellers, this last complication makes it possible to display two different time zones.
The Promesse Moon Phase: A touch of poetry
The new Promesse watch gives a glimpse into the mystery behind the four phases of the moon, unveiling each chapter right on the dial. This precious timepiece is a new star amongst Promesse, a collection launched in 2014, which continues to charm with its elegance and sophisticated design. With this new addition, Baume & Mercier combines the poetic complication of fine watchmaking with the aesthetic of a piece of jewellery.
With a modern twist, the moon phase drawing perfectly suits the blue lacquered dial. The 30 diamonds, set like two crescent moons, brighten up this starry night and highlight the oval shaped bezel, perfectly fitting into the round (34mm) polished steel case. This interplay of shapes has been the trademark of Promesse since its creation.
