U10 Tourbillon Calavera
Unique art
The first timepiece of the Angelus U10 art collection pays tribute to the old tradition of Mexican Calaveras. Signifying the immortality of the soul, the Memento Mori is an important symbol of ancient Rome. The Memento Mori is used as the theme for the tourbillon watch displaying dead beat seconds. This feature has been derived from the 18th-century pocket watches.
The U10 Tourbillon Calavera is classic haute horlogerie. But it successfully maintains a contemporary edge, thanks to its modernist display and innovative engineering. Putting state-of-the-art materials to use, Angelus has positioned the tourbillon outside the movement. It comes across as a mechanical structure. The vitrine aspect of the tourbillon space is cleverly enhanced by light-absorbing, matte black PVD finish. The movement of the watch uses a combination of nickel-silver, titanium and stainless steel. The watch comes with a hand-stitched black alligator leather strap.
With such graphic details and a unique design, the U10 Tourbillon Calavera is not for the faint-at-heart. Do you have it in you to flaunt the Angelus Calavera? There’s only one way of knowing – try it on!
