Arpal One is an unexpected watch that carries the DNA of both Laurent Ferrier and URWERK.
How many times are we divided in our choice? We like the mechanism of a certain watch but prefer the look of another one! We secretly yearn for the two to blend in. That would be the perfect timepiece of our dreams. Well, Laurent Ferrier and URWERK have figured this out. So, they have co-created Arpal One.
Arpal One bears the signatures of both the Maison’s. And for someone who understands the brands, it is a near impossible feat. Laurent Ferrier is all about time-honoured traditions. URWERK goes all out to overrun conventions. Arpal One was created to be sold at the Only Watch auction. The social cause attached to it is the Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
“It’s a cleanly cut watch. My friends know my love of cars, a predilection expressed in this watch. This new creation is like streamlined coachwork, fluid and without any affront to the eye,” Laurent Ferrier explains.
The highlight of the watch is its case. It is made of an exlusive alloy called ARPAL+consists of 75% precious metals and resists wear and scratches better than white gold or steel. The colour of the alloy never fades or oxidises. The watch also features four hours satellites in a matt pearly grey with diamond-polished outlines. The time is shown by these satellites, each bearing three hours numerals. The finishing touch is the sand-coloured hand-stitched leather strap.
As the synergies of Laurent Ferrier and URWERK come together, watch connoisseurs are gifted with a unique timepiece. With Arpal One, URWERK has opted for discretion, while Laurent Ferrier has raised the tone.
